You will help our clients create more sustainable products and operate more sustainably! The focus of your work will be to assist clients with product and corporate sustainability measurement and reporting. This may take the form of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) using our GaBi software, preparing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based results, and assisting with other sustainability-oriented projects. Activities will also involve direct project management interaction with clients. Your day-to-day activities may include:
Business Development Responsibilities (60%):
Proactively seek out new business opportunities for LCA and EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for Building and Construction sector Manage your own lead generation and sales pipelineUse and maintain Sphera's sales tools (e.g. SalesForce, LCR, CBFs, etc.) and follow the sales process in a timely and accurate mannerSupport to identify sales opportunities in your daily workSupport all colleagues in achieving overall Sustainability Consulting sales targetsConsulting Responsibilities (40%):
Managing consulting projects addressing Life Cycle Assessment, feasibility studies, Total Cost of Ownership evaluations, as well as product sustainability strategy, and/or corporate sustainability strategy.Preparing and presenting project results in PowerPoint or other formatsEnsuring your projects adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality, andWorking together with Sphera team members across different specialties and regions, e.g. on energy transitions topics, alternative fuels and powertrains, incl. hydrogen as well as green chemistryDevelop and maintain solid, lasting relationships with existing clientsTravel will be required as necessary on a project-by-project basis (up to 20% of time)Your profile
A positive “can-do” attitudeBachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, sales, or marketing; or equivalent work experience 2+ year of sales experience, with a successful track record in solution or services-based selling environment highly preferred Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and/or climate changeExperience working with clients/customers in a sales-oriented environmentExperience managing small to medium team projectsGood oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reportsSelf-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teamsProficiency with MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and WordDesire to help companies succeed in an environmentally sustainable manner#LI-Remote
