Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract ( LOGCAP ). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
The Food Services Lead spearheads operations in LOGCAP missions, ensuring quality meal preparation, staff supervision, and compliance with health and safety standards for mission personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Supervise and coordinate food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and timely meal service.
+ Oversee kitchen staff, assigning duties, and ensuring proper training in food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
+ Collaborate with management or culinary teams to plan menus, considering nutritional needs, variety, and available resources.
+ Ensure proper execution of menu plans, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation of meals.
+ Uphold strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and compliance with military health and safety protocols.
+ Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food storage areas to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene levels.
+ Monitor and manage inventory levels, oversee stock rotation, and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies for meal preparation.
+ Efficiently manage resources, minimizing waste, and optimizing utilization of food and supplies.
+ Maintain excellent customer service standards, handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring a positive dining experience.
+ Foster clear communication channels with military authorities’ subcontractors, and support personnel to ensure smooth operations.
+ Lead, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high-performance standards.
+ Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and facilitate continuous skill development among the team.
+ Assist in budget planning, cost control measures, and financial reporting related to food service operations.
+ Prepare reports on inventory, expenses, and operational performance as required by LOGCAP regulations.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of food service experience.
+ Must have at least 2 years of leadership experience within the food services field.
+ Must have familiarity with AR 30-22, DA PAM 30-22, TB MED 530, 1338.10-M, and TM 4_41x11.
+ Must be familiar with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
+ Must have excellent communication skills including Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
+ Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate instructions to others.
+ Must have a ServSafe Certification.
+ Requires Poland ID and/or a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity and 6 blank pages
+ Fluency in Polish and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Poland.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
+ Experience with AFMIS and STORES is highly preferred.
+ Military food service experience.
