Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Subcontract Coordinator (SCC), you will provide on-site coordination efforts between the subcontractors, site management and the back-office Procurement & Subcontracts Support Center. Your primary responsibility is managing the day-to-day activities of all subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the subcontractors/suppliers are performing in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage subcontractors to ensure their work progresses according to schedule and subcontract terms, while also communicating with the back office, site management, and subcontractors.Perform local sourcing to expand the bidder’s list and conduct subcontractor CTIPS inspections in conjunction with the Quality Department.Complete daily SCW accountable reporting, manage disputes and claims, subcontractor transitions, and evaluate vendors, including administering subcontract change orders or local purchases.Track and communicate new subcontract requirements, ensuring coordination with the back office and on-site program to meet defined requirements and timelines.Read and understand all subcontractor duties, responsibilities, and rights defined in the subcontract to avoid issues.Assist with ensuring compliance with established policies/procedures and uphold safety and quality management protocols.Verify subcontractors' schedule adherence and progress milestones, exercising independent judgment in evaluating subcontractor performance, while managing coordination and planning to enhance subcontractor performance.Maintain daily written records/logs, such as daily SCW accountability rosters, and identify, contact, and negotiate with potential vendors/subcontractors to meet contract requirements.Monitor subcontract progress, plans, change orders, modifications, or disputes, and issue Stop Work Orders (SWO), coordinating/monitoring subcontractor demobilization.Coordinate receipt of proper Base Access information, escort subcontractor workers as required, and evaluate the performance of current vendors/subcontractors, while interfacing with Accounts Payable to ensure contract payments are up to date.Prioritize work and document tasks with daily/weekly updates to the back-office support center.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of related experience. A High School Diploma or equivalent and an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Must have knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).Requires experience working with U.S. Government compliant contracts/subcontracts.Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical bulletins and government regulations.Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Must have excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong public speaking skills.The ability to effectively deliver oral presentations and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and subcontractors will be a daily requirement for this role.Must have detailed knowledge of Prime contract terms and conditions.Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Will continuously be in the field inspecting subcontractor's work and progress. This requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and balance.Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
