LCV NORTHCOM: Logistics Warehouseman SSA- Contingency
Position Overview:
As a Logistics Warehouseman Supply Support Activity (SSA), you will perform (SSA) functions, receive and issue supplies against MROs, inspect materials, assign storage locations, issues tools, repair parts and supplies, conduct and report on cyclic inventories as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Verify all items being received and/or shipped to and from the warehouse, dispense materials and prepare for shipment.
+ Operate various Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include handcart, pallet jack, hand truck and/or forklift to unload supplies and equipment.
+ Store, stack & distribute palletized materials in preparation for storage or shipment.
+ Process documentation for customer turn-ins of unserviceable, recoverable items, load, and unload commercial and/or military equipment for repairs.
+ Verify material or merchandise against invoices, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
+ Count supplies and equipment for accuracy, condition, and accountability.
+ Operates up to 2½ – ton capacity vehicles, and two (2) to ten thousand (10,000) pound forklifts (as licensed/qualified).
+ Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks (PMCs) on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), vehicles and other assigned equipment as needed.
+ Comply with regulatory requirements, directives, technical manuals, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
+ File all paperwork per documented procedures and perform computer functions as directed or required.
+ Work under stressful circumstances and meet short suspense dates.
+ May be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in supply activity functions specializing in warehouse operations.
+ Requires knowledge and experience with the Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army), Post-Goods Issue Process, Turn-In Process, Put away actions, and Storage Support Functions.
+ Must have completed the Common Core and Supply Support Activity business area of GCSS-Army Training and Certification system (GTRAC).
+ Field of expertise: Warehouse Worker Level Supply Support Activity and Military warehouse GCSS-Army.
+ Must be able to obtain a KBR Driver’s License to operate MHE.
+ Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
+ Must be able to perform required duties, and wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
+ Must be able to lift/move 45 lbs. without assistance and up to 80 lbs. with assistance.
+ Must be physically capable of performing the work in extreme temperatures, low humidity, blowing sand and dust.
+ Must be able to operate at heights above ten (10) feet but not more than thirty (30) feet.
+ Must have a valid State Driver’s License
+ Ability to pass a Military Background Check for access to military installations.
+ Authorization to work in the U.S.
Additional Skills or Experience Preferred:
+ Military MOS 92A / 92Y experience.
