The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success.  It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation.  GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.

 

Role Purpose: Execution of Global Supply Management (GSM) Strategic Sourcing strategies, policies, tactics, and objectives for procure capital equipment in alignment with business objectives and strategies globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and/or assists with Strategic Sourcing plans and objectives (short & long term) based on project demand and taking into account economic and currency trends and conditions that affect GSM, the business, and the global commodity sourced.

• Works with the Business, PMO, Engineering on assigned global equipment requirements to prepare and solicit competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions.

• Lead cost reduction portfolio setup and drive capital efficiency to meet business requirement.

• Develops new suppliers with new technologies to fulfill project requirements, supplier performance maintenance and supplier base consolidation.

• Owns the Supplier Relationship Management process for the assigned commodities. Develops and cultivates effective relationships with suppliers.

• Develop, maintain, and execute Shared Objectives and Service Level Agreements.

 

Execution Metrics:

• Involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the buying and delivery of capital equipment, from acquisition through delivery for capital expansion projects.

• Works with cross-functional team, including PMO, Engineering, and Finance to contribute on process improvement, cost reduction and supply chain enhancements

• Conducts negotiations with potential and/or current major suppliers to obtain maximum value.

• Maintains effective supplier relationships by means of audits, visits, evaluations to review areas such as capabilities and capacities.

• Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy. Ensures compliance with internal and external auditing requirements related especially to GSM.

 

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Experience in manufacturing – operations, planning, engineering, supply management, or procurement

• Technical curiosity to learn and understand how the equipment that produces our products works

• Experience managing multimillion negotiations

• Supplier relationship manager experience such as cost, quality and schedule

 

Desired Skills:

• Experience across multiple businesses, divisions and/or technologies.

• Experience with equipment purchasing of industrial measurement, control and automation equipment for global manufacturing through work or project experience.

• Experience with Semi-conductor industry process equipment;

• Experience working in a matrix environment or on a cross functional team.

• Experience on mechanical or electrical engineering preferred

• Lean project experience for equipment value engineering to drive cost reduction.

• Experience as a Plant or Corporate Buyer.

The range for this position is   $77,358.00 - $106,368.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
