About the Role

We are seeking a Lead, Commercial Reporting and Forecasting to drive the commercial analytics, reporting architecture, and forecasting strategy within our Commercial team.

This role focuses on spend management, predictive modeling, and providing data-driven insights to optimize business performance.

You will lead a team in analyzing market trends, customer demand, and supply chain dynamics to improve forecasting accuracy and align with business objectives.

Your Role Will Consist Of:

Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day responsibilities:

Develop and execute commercial spend analysis to optimize expenditures, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier relationships.Lead forecasting processes, utilizing data-driven models to enhance supply chain efficiency and sales & marketing strategies.Oversee dashboard creation and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into supplier relationships and spending patterns.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to support demand forecasting and business resilience.Ensure data integrity within ERP systems, collaborating with IT and Commercial teams for transparency and accuracy.Align demand forecasts with production planning by working closely with inventory, procurement, and warehousing teams.Support cost planning, ensuring pricing accuracy and financial forecasting alignment.Drive predictive cost modeling, leveraging advanced analytics to assess inflationary impacts and cost sensitivities.Foster collaboration with senior leadership, influencing strategic supply chain and financial decision-making. Your Training, Skills, and Experience Checklist

What We’re Looking For

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master’s degree and/or professional certification preferred.

Experience:

Extensive experience in commercial forecasting, spend analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

Strong background in supply chain, warehousing, and materials management within mining, heavy industry, or related fields.

Hands-on experience in predictive cost modeling and spend taxonomy development.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba, Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools.

Expertise in ERP systems and advanced forecasting models.

Strong knowledge of inflation sensitivity analysis and cost optimization strategies.

Advanced Excel and data analytics capabilities.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.

Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions and Location

This position is based at the Denver Corporate Office, with flexibility in location.

Some travel may be required to support regional change management initiatives.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $118,600 - 150,195. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.  


This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
