With 2023 revenues of $20\.4 billion, we are a Fortune 500 company who is committed to providing an inclusive work environment with continuous learning opportunities and development for our teams\. **About this opportunity\.\.\.** The Lead, Communications, Engagement & Events plays a key role in supporting engagement initiatives across the Buying Offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston\. Based in the New York Buying Office \(NYBO\), this role helps plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of experiences for Associates and vendors \- including suite management, golf events, Corporate Social Responsibility \(CSR\) initiatives \(volunteering & fundraising\) and business meetings/celebrations\. Working closely with the Senior Manager, this role is responsible for the operational aspects and year\-round planning of all events\. This involves working with cross\-functional teams, external partners, and senior leaders \(as needed\), as well as supporting venue and supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing\. The base salary range for this role is $77,900 to $100,000\. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\. **What you will do\.\.\.\.** You will be supporting all aspects of large\-scale Buying Office events, including development of guest lists/invitations, gifts, logistics and food/beverage\. Work closely with HR teams, and as needed, senior leaders and key partners to deliver an exceptional end\-to\-end experience\. Make recommendations to keep experience fresh\. You will work closely with Senior Manager to ensure effective use of vendor hospitality program\. Manage all operations in line with policy and process, including ticket distribution, food & beverage orders, and invoicing\. You are responsible for maintaining budgets for every event, reconcile all billing/invoices, and ensure proper escalation to the Senior Manager during the planning process\. Serve as liaison between Ross' charitable partners and assist in planning Associate CSR fundraisers and volunteer opportunities\. Manage registration lists, scheduling, and event preparation\. Maintain and update the scorecards to track Associate engagement across all Buying Office locations\. Support the planning and project management of all Associate events, including quarterly celebrations, annual sporting days, in\-person gatherings, holiday gift distributions, and ad hoc on and offsite events\. Provide support for onsite and offsite leader business meetings\. This includes sourcing meeting spaces, A/V production, food & beverage orders, rental equipment, giveaways, etc\. Maintain detailed project plans and proactively identify/resolve potential issues to ensure all work streams for each meeting are on track\. Interface with project teams and senior leaders \(as needed\)\. **What you need to be successful\.\.\.** Strong communication skills: You can "read the situation" you actively listen, ask clarifying questions, confidently share your point of view, and demonstrate the ability to build relationships\. Flexibility: You can pivot and are adaptable, and receptive to feedback\. Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage shifting priorities, solve problems, and act thoughtfully in a fast\-paced environment; demonstrates flexibility and adaptability\. Skilled at handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and diplomacy; effectively deals with ambiguity, building trust and credibility across all levels\.
