Position Overview: 

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Lead, Contracts Specialist to join our Government Solutions Legal team. As a Lead, Contracts Specialist, you will support a team of Contract Managers who are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our company's contracts and agreements. Your role will be essential in helping to ensure contracts are properly executed, monitored, and fulfilled, while also mitigating risks and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. During the Contract Life Cycle, the Contracts Administrator will provide support of Global Contracts Managers in the areas of Contracts Management, Contract Artifact Management and General Administrative and Data Management by performing the essential responsibilities listed below. 

Responsibilities for Lead, Contract Specialist

Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and a knowledge of a client's needs and ability to fulfill its requirements Collaborate with sales, purchasing and legal teams consisting of lawyers, paralegals, and office staff Ability to analyze request, data, identify trends, and to report to management or to make informed decisions Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements written in language that is legally binding and in accordance with the desires of the client Ensure fulfillment of contractual terms or to terminate contracts on mutually amicable terms Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are following company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations Clearly explain contract terminology to clients and other interested parties in simple, everyday language Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency, according to a style guide if provided by the client Provide weekly, monthly, annual performance reports based on fulfillment to specific customer contract performance requirements Prepares and ensures proper execution of a variety of documentation, including administration documents, reports and metrics.

Qualifications: 

10+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly with contract law, or applicable experience within a related field Knowledge of current and legally-binding contractual language and terminology Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting.  Ability to work independently or collaboratively Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints, and client concerns Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an impeccable mastery of the English language Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulations Outstanding organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously Knowledge of negotiations best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interests
