This position will be working onsite from Miami.

The Manager, Onboard Revenue is an operational leader that exudes passion, energy and drive in supporting the Director, Onboard Revenue (DOBR) shore side, and the Fleet Marketing & Revenue Managers (M&Rs), in delivering top service to our guests and achieving revenue targets and goals. He/She represents the interests of Onboard Revenue to other functional areas within RCL. The MOBR demonstrates innovative thinking, drives change, and achieves a positive impact on the key result areas through effective management and support of key initiatives. His/Her pro-active approach to the working environment and engagement of employees drives the overall quality and execution of all aspects of Onboard Revenue generation and guest experience across the fleet.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Supervise and support ITV operational programs onboard the fleet. Will liaise with Marketing OMS position onboard and Marketing shore side as well as M&R Managers onboard to ensure proper ITV messaging is used for marketing purposes to generate revenue capabilities onboard. Will also monitor the Pay Per View movie portion of ITV to maximize opportunities to continue to generate revenues.  The ITV functionality is owned by Entertainment and IT, but the operational management will be owned by this role.
2. Responsible for generating additional innovative ideas which will bring new business to onboard revenue, and collaborating with other divisions in Hotel Operations including F&B, Accounting, and IT to see initiatives through from start to finish. 
3. Conducts on site visits to assess onboard operations and provides guidance and recommendations on opportunities to improve performance against KPI¿S, revenue achievements, and to ensure compliance within the company¿s brand quality and operational standards. 

4. Assists with developing management reporting and tools required to monitor the fleet performance in the areas of guest satisfaction and other Revenue Flow Analysis and Marketing and Revenue tools for use onboard.
5. Assists the DOBR in tracking and monitoring onboard revenue performance on a daily basis.
6. Manage account performance to exceed individual ship onboard revenue targets. 
7. Directly influence staffing, coaching, sales development, rotation scheduling and performance evaluation for M&R Team onboard and Travelling M&R Team.
8.  Translates Royal Caribbean International¿s corporate marketing and strategic direction to revenue partners and assists partners in creating initiatives and projects to support these goals.
9. Interacts regularly with all levels of our partner¿s organization (from Presidents to Managers) as well as all levels of shipboard and shore side management.
10. Managers will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management and may cover any revenue partner account during their tenure. May be required to manage and supervise minimum of two vendor accounts at one time.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: 

 5-7 years of Analytic or Sales experience required; Travel industry preferred.  5-7 years of Hotel Operations experience preferred (in the Travel industry with focus on sales / revenue generation)  Must be able to travel for 3-14 days at a time. Proven ability to drive sales / performance through leveraging data, relationships and setting stringent goals for success Bachelor¿s degree required.  Masters degree preferred Must have the natural ability to inspire and motivate a largely remote sales / retail teams around the world.   Must be a leader that others want to follow and learn from.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.   Must have strong executive presentation skills.  Must have strong negotiation skills. Must have demonstrated tenacity and the ability to promote a strong unified team environment from direct reports.  Must be able to build relationships with decision-makers of all operational areas, as well as the team both onboard and shore side.  Must be knowledgeable in shipboard operations and procedures and services relative to competitors.  Must be creative, enthusiastic and always willing to go above and beyond what is expected to exceed customer expectations.
