Your impact

The Lead, Electricity Management will develop and implement sustainable systems and processes to optimize energy consumption across Newmont’s portfolio of operations in alignment with business goals.
 

As part of our team you will Consolidate data from various sources related to electricity production, distribution, and consumption.Assess energy consumption patterns to diagnose inefficiencies and propose improvements to optimize energy use and reduce costs.Execute and lead systems for monitoring the performance of electricity assets and infrastructure, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.Adhere to compliance with relevant regulations and standards for electricity operations, including environmental and safety regulations.Plan and execute strategies for efficient energy management, focusing on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.Deliver technical support for energy projects, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of new technologies and processes.Diagnose potential risks associated with electricity operations and plan strategies to mitigate these risks.Deliver detailed reports on energy performance, including usage, efficiency, costs, and compliance with regulations.Collaborate closely with team members, including operations, finance, and environmental teams, to ensure alignment and support for energy initiatives.Plan and deliver training programs for staff on standard methodologies in energy management, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
 Prerequisites for success in this role This role requires previous experience related to implementation or sustainment of energy management system, analytical tools, and system integrations.Educational credentials in electrical engineering are required. Project Management skills are required.The Lead Electricity Management needs to have advanced proficiency in Energy Management Systems and integration of supporting systems with the EMS. This involves advanced proficiency in creating and implementing data standards and business processes that match the system's functionalities. Moreover, a foundational understanding of contract frameworks would benefit this position. Competency in Microsoft applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint would be advantageous.
 Your work environment The preferred location for this role is Denver, CO but qualified candidates in proximity to any of our operations or offices in Australia are also encouraged to applyThe Lead Electricity Management will need to work closely with internal and external stakeholders globally, necessitating flexibility in schedules. Traveling internationally is part of the role. Proficiency in multiple languages is beneficial, though not obligatory.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $124,000 to 162,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.  

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
