Job Summary
Molina Healthcare Services (HCS) Behavioral Health Department works with members, providers and multidisciplinary team members to assess, facilitate, plan and coordinate an integrated delivery of care across the continuum, including behavioral health and long-term care, for members with high need potential. HCS Behavioral Health staff work to ensure that members progress toward desired outcomes with quality care that is medically appropriate and cost-effective based on the severity of illness and the site of service.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Functions as a subject matter expert in the HCS-Behavioral Health Department. Responsibilities include member screening and outreach, collecting, interpreting, and utilizing data, operationalizing regulations, interface with County Behavioral Health Departments, Community agencies, Providers and other internal departments to facilitate BH access and share expertise. Collaboration across departments is integral to the role.
Assists in training of all staff according to Department standards, policies, and procedures. Consults with the Management of HCS-Behavioral Health to devise and implement action as necessary to meet regulatory and best practice standards. Acts as a supportive resource to the HCS staff, facilitating HCS-Behavioral Health processes and communicating/coordinating HCS-Behavioral Health activities. Resolves barriers to behavioral health access through strategic collaboration. Assists Care Managers and may maintain a caseload for triage and service linkage. Collaborates with and keeps HCS-Behavioral Health Management apprised of system, and program needs. Generates reports and uses data in a meaningful way to promote adherence with Behavioral Health regulations and improve access to Behavioral Health services. As liaison to both internal and external customers on behalf of both Molina and the HCS-Behavioral Health areas, conducts self in a professional manner at all times. Maintains cooperative and effective workplace relationships and adheres to company Code of Conduct. Attends/participates in departmental, company-wide, and external committees, task forces, or work groups, as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Any of the following: Masters level Behavioral Health degree or Registered Nurse with Behavioral Health experienceRequired Experience
2+ years of hospital, medical clinic, or managed care experience
Required License, Certification, Association
If licensed, license must be active, unrestricted and in good standing.
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health
Preferred Experience
3-5 years clinical practice with a Behavioral Health entity or managed care
Preferred License, Certification, Association
Active and unrestricted, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or State Registered Nursing (RN) license in good standing.
LCSW preferred

Pay Range: $29.05 - $56.64 an hour*
