As an Implementations Accountant Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Implementation Fund Accountants that supports new Fund Administration customers in their journey into Carta services. Some of the strategic support that this team provides includes the onboarding from inception of all accounting books and records, including but not limited to:

Capital calls and distributions Audit support Quarterly and annual financial statements Limited Partners allocation balances Performance metrics such as IRR, TVPI, RVPI and DPI

You work within our fast-growing Fund Administration business by coordinating, facilitating and managing onboarding activities that are critical to achieving success for both our customers and Carta within a tight deadline. You will: 

Lead a team of Implementation Fund Accountants by promoting best practices, setting a strong example, contributing to team deliverables, and ensuring customer satisfaction Ensure work is properly allocated to team members and that projects are completed on time Review data uploaded by your team in Carta and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of onboarding Monitor and assist team members in the daily operation aspects of the project including reviewing the status and performance against targets, performing root‬ cause analysis of variances and making improvements to meet the targets Take full responsibility for reporting on team performance by assisting in hiring, offering training and mentorship, conducting regular 1:1 meetings, providing performance feedback, and supporting your team members in achieving their career objectives Review team and individual level metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, plan improvement initiatives, and lead execution of those plans with your team Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders on complex projects, handling ambiguity as needed Address and de-escalate any issues related to data migration or client onboarding, ensuring that root causes are identified and processes are adjusted to prevent recurrence Help define prioritization needs and provide leverage to our internal teams and external clients Proactively escalate client issues by providing details and recommendations for solutions Represent your team’s interests in leadership discussions and work closely with managers and directors   The Team You'll Work With

Our implementation accounting team acts as the bridge between sales and long term account management for new fund clients. The team ensures whatever information our clients had before joining Carta is correctly migrated into our system. Ours is a team of folks who have mastery of accounting, exhibit a high degree of problem-solving, efficiency, and integrity as they leverage their subject-matter expertise to provide customers with a world-class onboarding experience. 

About You Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience You have proven 1 to 3 years of leadership experience You have a deep understanding of Venture Capital, Private Equity, Hedge Fund and Fund Administration, with 5+ years of experience in this industry You can independently identify problems, perform root cause analysis, and execute on action plans You have experience interpreting and understanding Limited Partnership Agreements, working on Waterfall calculations, management fees and carried interest allocations You have advanced Microsoft Office skills You have experience maintaining, managing and nurturing multiple client relationships You have experience producing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring quality and‬ consistency of the accounting data uploaded to internal systems ‭You have experience managing and monitoring the timely delivery of quality client‬ deliverables You have risk management experience, identifying risk and putting controls in place You have experience providing training and guidance to new and existing team members Incredible organizational skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to complete competing priorities quickly and autonomously Passionate about growing and advancing with Carta   Compensation

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 

 $113,240 - $141,550  in Seattle, WA
 $119,200 - $149,000  in San Francisco, CA, Santa Clara, CA, and New York, NY 

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
