Lead, Infrastructure Security Engineer - Data Protection

Your Team
As a Lead, Infrastructure Security Engineer on Security Service Data Protection team, you will partner with product owners, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to improve Prudential’s capabilities for our Cyber Defenders. You will provide technical expertise to develop requirements, design the overall technology architecture, and implement/enhance our capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to provide better telemetry and data to our Cyber Defense Partners. In addition to deep technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.


• Work with your Tech Lead, Product Owner, and the rest of the team to design and enhance the overall technical architecture of Cyber Defense Visibility and Automation solutions [User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), investigating the use of GEN AI to assist Cyber Defenders, and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR)] with support of the team
• Responsible for developing requirements, technical design and implementation strategies, including deployments, ensuring that these are kept in-line with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mentality of ‘emerging architecture’

The Skills & Expertise You Bring
• Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
• Bring your diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
• Strong ability to translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences
• Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills


• Significant experience and/or deep expertise with several of the following:

UEBA

SOAR

SIEM

Understanding of Gen AI technologies in reference to Cyber Defense

• Preferred qualifications:

DLP Experience

XDR Experience

CASB Experience

Service Now Experience

Financial/Insurance industry experience is a plus, not a must

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $135,100.00 to $201,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
