About this opportunity:

Cenovus is seeking to fill the role of Lead, NPI to coordinate FMT Fluid Management and Non process infrastructure duties as well as safety initiatives, manage contractor and service provider performance, and participate in maintenance and operations planning. Key responsibilities in this role include managing contracts with core vendors, coordinating with SCM on contractor performance, and tracking FMT critical metrics. The Lead will also handle budget management, invoice approvals, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, this position involves coordinating waste management activities, performing FMT advisor and dispatcher activities, and ensuring compliance with incident management processes.

This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 12 hrs per day, 8 days on, 6 days off, Tuesday to Tuesday, day shift onlySunrise is located approximately 100 km northeast of the City of Fort McMurray and is a fly in/ fly out remote camp-based positionCenovus will provide transportation to Sunrise from designated hubs out of Calgary and EdmontonAt the Sunrise site, employees will be provided comfortable camp accommodations and recreational amenities

What you’ll do:

Provide safety leadership, chair monthly safety meetings and daily huddle board meetingsPresent relevant safety information supporting Corporate Start Safe meetings and programs, as well as participate in contractor performance reviews and Score Card meeting reviewsParticipate as required in Turnarounds , Maintenance and Operations activity planning including but not limited to CSE Meetings, Planning Reviews, Risk Assessments, Critical Job Reviews, Vendor Execution Plans, Quote Reviews and Finalize equipment requirementsResponsible for contract management of core vendors to adjust to business demands and forecasts.Coordinating with SCM on contractor performance meetings, vendor selection for Execution scopes and PCR adjustments for LEMS contractsAccountable for FMT critical metrics; tracking, trending, reporting, and implementing change where requiredCoordinate the waste, fluid and disposal budget vs actual spend for month end estimates with finance team for monthly accrual meetings.Review and provide final approval in OpenInvoice, CAP LEMS, CAP DOC

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

Legally authorized to work in Canada10+ years related gas/oil experience, in operations and maintenance within a team environmentJourneyman or relevant experience (Pipefitter, Millwright, Instrumentation or Electrician)Solid understanding of Maintenance expenses, Budget and expense reportsGood understanding of FMT equipment maintenance and reliabilityStrong analytical, planning and business skills

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
