Job Description:

Our Financial Lead plays a key role in keeping our departments and programs on track. All departments utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to keep all projects and programs moving in the same direction with accurate and complete information for our customers. We are seeking a proactive, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform independent tasks.  Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management, Engineering and Senior Leadership. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking and the ability to work with minimal day to day supervision.  Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner.

Essential Functions:

Works under minimal oversight to develop time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance and reporting, cost accounting and cost and schedule integrationComprehensive knowledge for financial performance of their programs, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutionsBudgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial supportDevelopment of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) dataEducate and lead financial analysts with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), creation and maintenance of charge numbersAnalyze costs and personnel ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objectiveAnalyze workforce planning, forecasting and reportingAccounting data extraction and reconciliationPerform Financial Planning and Analysis assessments and support Earnings and cash management reports and advice for the individual program or program area. Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis, as required to include customer reporting.Develop and present briefing of program financial status to customerEducate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performanceCommunicates within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes.Provides suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiativesPerform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financialsBroad knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Able to identify process improvements and efficiencies that can be shared with othersOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior program finance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

A comprehensive experience and understanding with business financial management techniques including government and commercial contracts, earned value analysis, cost analysis, financial planning, cash flow, progress payments and billing milestonesAdvanced level knowledge of Earned Value and EVMS highly desired.Advanced experience with Excel and other MS OFFICE toolsAbility to build collaborative relationships, earn trust, and thrive in an inclusive environmentExperience with creating financial forecastsDoD contractor experience preferred

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in CA or WA is $96,500 - $179,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
