As a Lead Quality Automation Engineer in Life Product Platform (LPP), you will partner with tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to improve the enablement of FAST platform. You will integrate tools and frameworks to run automated tests, design complex test infrastructure and select tools for implementation. You will help create highly resilient applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Follow best practices for testing approach and scenarios to automate functional and non-functional tests; remove complex technical impediments.Configure, build and Test applications ensuring that the solution follows latest practices and industry standards for FAST testing.Leverage and extend testing frameworks as required, focuses on a wide variety of testing techniques writing reusable scripts/tools that the team and software engineers use for automation. Analyze the business requirements, documenting the gaps, reaching out to required business stakeholders for detailed requirements gathering or collection of details and helping other team members to understand the business requirements in detail. Develop high quality, well documented and efficient functional testing practices adhering to all applicable Prudential standards.Participate into various Agile ceremonies and contribute effectively as per the need. Write unit, integration functional tests and functional automation, researching problems discovered by quality assurance or product support. Review and update test plans and test cases based on the latest requirements or changes in the software. Ensure that all test cases are aligned with the acceptance criteria and cover all functional aspects of the application.Run manual or automated test cases against the application, focusing on functional testing to ensure that features work as expected.Log any defects or issues found during testing into the defect tracking system in JIRA. Provide detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and screenshots or logs to help the development team understand and fix the issues.Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes or fixes have not introduced new issues or broken existing functionality.Validate requirements are delivered to assure overall quality, continually perform regression testing as necessary and apply exploratory and risk-based testing.Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide feedback and coach team members and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables. Exposure to Test Automation Suit such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress or any such tools and exposure integrating these tools with CICD platform. Exposure to SOAPUI, Postman, Selenium. Use of programming languages including but not limited to Java, or JavaScript and React, Springboot, Node.js frameworksThe Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields Financial/Insurance industry experience is preferred. Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills Collaboration skills to work with business partners and agile teams Knowledge of Bitbucket, DevOps automation tools & practicesAbility to coach others with minimum guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization Advanced experience and/or expertise with several of the following: Core Testing Tools: Unit, interface and end user testing concepts and tooling inclusive of non-functional requirements (performance, usability, reliability, security/ vulnerability scanning etc.); Ensure code aligns with Test Driven Development Cycle principles; write unit, integration tests and basic functional automationProgramming Languages: Java, Python or JavascriptFrameworks: Informatica, RAFT, Junit or NosetestDevOps Tools & Practices: DevOps automation tools, SDLC coding standards, code review, source control managementSecurity: Grasp of security impacts and how testing can ensure security; Includes how security is integrated into DevOps (DevSecOps)API ConsumptionFAST platform knowledge or experience is plus.You’ll Love Working Here Because You Can

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
