Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead – Sales / Accounts Management for South Korea to join our dynamic team in Asia Pacific Region (APAC).   The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, primes and contractors in the defense industry.

Based in South Korea, the Lead is responsible for business development, customer relationship management, and orders capture in South Korea.   The role will report to Senior Manager, Sales / Accounts Management – Northeast Asia Region. 

South Korea is one of the region’s fastest growing defense markets due to heightening geopolitical tensions.  Key opportunities will require multifaceted strategies & coordinated campaigns with US government stakeholders, in-country partners and military stakeholders.  The Lead will be responsible for closing the near-term opportunities already in the pipeline while developing longer term opportunities to grow the pipeline.  Key focus will be to understand the timeline of the modernization programs, and to shape their requirements and position L3Harris to capture these programs.    The Lead will also work extensively with the local defense industry to build partnerships to capture local and export opportunities.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for sales/accounts management for South Korea covering ISR datalinks, tactical radio communications, SATCOM terminals, night vision and turnkey C4ISR systems (may include EO/IR sensors).Responsible for developing and executing South Korea’s account plan to achieve territorial sales goals in line with company growth plans.Responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and cing opportunities to sell company products, systems and/or services to customers in assigned accounts to meet annual orders targets and grow the pipeline.Works with local consultants, distributors, representatives (CDR) to engage key customer accounts to provide product and mission solutions, pursue and close orders, develop new business, and maintain positive ongoing relationships.   Manages CDR appointments and performance.Manages account opportunities in customer relationship management (CRM) database and updates regularly to represent current state of opportunity pipeline.Provides timely and accurate orders forecasts to management.Follows L3Harris Common Capture Process and leads Gate Reviews. Captures and shapes customer requirements to increase L3Harris’ PWIN and successfully selling our solutions to customers.   Serves as the customer expert and capture lead for business pursuits.  Keeps internal stakeholders informed of key capture activtives, status and next steps.    Stay engaged with Program Managers as they direct the execution of existing programs to ensure we "keep it sold" and position ourselves for follow-on business with existing customers.Expected to spend significant time outside of the office or on the phone networking and meeting with customers.Based in South Korea.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant sales experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related sales experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related sales experience.

Proven track record within the defense sector.Highly developed professional communication skills; highly proficient in Korean and proficient in English.A polished, confident presenter with an outgoing personality and comfortable with senior customers. demonstrated networking capabilities among various customer communities e.g. users and acquisition officials / leads in MoDs, MoIs, law enforcement organizations; military OEMs.Strong business acumen with keen strategic mindset.Strong work and business ethics.  Results oriented.Ability to assess immediate issues and provides direction for resolution.Pro-actively takes ownership of situation within skill set and leads through to satisfactory resolution.Energetic, enthusiastic and forward leaning disposition.Preference to work in a team environment and be a collaborative team player.Previous military experience
