Lead, Social Media and Influencer Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:

As the Lead, Social Media and Influencer Analyst, you will enable a data-driven approach to social media and influencer marketing at The Knot, translating metrics into actionable insights that elevate performance across organic, boosted, and influencer campaigns. Reporting to the Director, Social and Influencer, you will collaborate close with the Social and Influencer team to inform strategy and optimize toward continuous growth and exceeding performance expectations through measurable, impactful insights. This is a high-visibility role for a social data expert passionate about shaping the future of social marketing at The Knot.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define, maintain, and optimize social and influencer measurement frameworks to align with strategic goals.  Establish performance benchmarks and forecast campaign outcomes. Develop and manage test-and-learn agendas to identify actionable insights. Own data collection, organization, and integrity while partnering with the social team to ensure effective content tagging. Create compelling, easy-to-understand data visualizations to communicate performance. Lead weekly performance reviews, providing emerging insights to improve strategy and execution. Deliver concise, data-driven monthly and campaign reports that inform long-term planning. Collaborate with the Community Manager on social listening to uncover trends and better understand performance. Partner with analytics and consumer insights teams to create a multidisciplinary view of channel performance. Act as the primary contact for social media measurement, data analysis and insights.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

Proven Expertise: 5+ years in social media and influencer marketing analytics, agency or in-house, and a seasoned practitioner of the speciality’s principles and practices Platform Mastery: In-depth understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and familiarity with Pinterest and YouTube. Metrics Proficiency: Expert knowledge of social metrics across organic, boosted, and influencer spaces, with the ability to analyze visibility and engagement. Tools Knowledge: Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Dash Hudson, Sprout), data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau), and social listening tools. Analytical Excellence: Ability to interpret data into actionable optimizations and deliver clear, persuasive narratives, using visuals when appropriate. Innovative Edge: A trend-spotter who thrives in dynamic environments and bridges the gap between data and strategy. Behavioral Insight: Passion for understanding the intersection of human behavior, technology, and social media. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Collaborative team player who builds trusting relationships across functions. Curious and critical thinker with a problem-solving mindset and knowledge of sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field or equivalent experience.

Preferred but not required

Background in digital-first brands or non-physical products. Certifications in social media marketing or advanced analytics tools. Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with quick-turn timelines. Knowledge of different forms of attribution, such as MTA or MMM. Familiarity with SEO data and correlation with organic social and influencer. Collaboration with Data Science teams and existing knowledge base of statistical techniques, A/B testing and/or predictive modeling.
