Purpose of RoleThe Lead, Workforce Optimization role is responsible for labor planning and optimization for Under Armour retail stores. This includes maintenance of the Workforce Management system, procedures related to labor and acting as a liaison to the field for labor related questions and solutions. This position will oversee quantitative analysis and the creation of labor models for forecasting accuracy and improving workforce decisions. Additionally, this role will guide efforts to implement workforce tools, automate data collection and develop new analytical tools.
• Develop and manage process for creation of sales plan & payroll plan by location (in conjunction with / with inputs from Finance & Retail Planning)
• Develop and maintain a forecast model for workload and staffing requirements
• Develop and deliver meaningful & actionable labor insights at a region, district and store level
• Analyze Retail payroll budgets & weekly / monthly / quarterly and yearly performance to
• Provide data elements to impact payroll decisions, program changes or new programs
• Utilize performance analytics tools to identify behaviors for future forecast and schedule scenarios and recommend action items to drive efficiencies and improve workflow
• Drive accountability of store labor execution by monitoring store payroll performance metrics and partnering with management to develop action plans to improve bottom performers
• Standardize end to end labor planning process
• Optimize sales and volume forecast processes to ensure stores are planning and scheduling to accurate projections
• Retail Workload
• Take learnings from workload drivers to impact payroll
• Review & management of Retail Payroll Budget; partner with HR on salaries & wage rates
• Support the monthly bonus review and execution for all America DTC stores
• Conduct a monthly payroll review and reporting for all America DTC stores
• Weekly business, team and training report generation for all America DTC stores
• Create and manage store training in the areas of effective labor scheduling and payroll management
• Ad hoc report generation and analysis
• Lead project team for workforce management implementation – vendor selection, project timeline and deliverable, program vetting, set-up, store training, rollout and ongoing project management
• Participate in the financial planning process to support Retail / Stores initiatives and ‘asks’ that drive Retail Store growth
• Develop and maintain various SG&A costs associated with ‘in-store spending’
• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
• Strong analytical & organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills- ability to build partnerships
• Must be highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.); ability to create, read and write various levels of reporting
• 5+ years of experience in of labor scheduling, resource allocation, or operational planning in a retail or similar environment
• Budget management and forecasting experience strongly preferred
• Dashboard development experience a plus
• Corporate retail experience a plus

Base Compensation
$99,084.00 - $136,240.50 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
