Team Description
The Synxis Retail Studio development team has an immediate opening for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the go to market initiative. This position will be part of a large, distributed and tightly knit team dedicated to implementing, enhancing and supporting the Synxis Retail Studio suite of applications for Hospitality Solutions. With focus on scalability, security and modernization this person will play a key role to bring the SRS suite to a state-of-the-art enterprise ready solution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Architects, designs, and implements new features & product enhancements for Hospitality Solutions products.Review’s architecture and design of existing system and redesigns it whenever necessary.Mentors’ development team membersElicits functional and non-functional requirements from SME/PODiagnoses system failures and problems in production and works with the technical staff to identify root causes and address them.Applies industry best engineering practices.Advises on development processes and practices.Assists in development of software technical documentation.Applies fundamental skills, concepts, and practices to solve difficult assignments.Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions.Required Skills:
A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in C#RESTful & SOAP API developmentExtensive experience in WCFExperience in SQL and non-relational DBsExtensive experience in cloud computing (GCP preferred)Experience with application reverse engineering and refactoringExperience implementing coding best practices and design patternsOO design principals & patternsHands on experience troubleshooting performance and scalability issuesExperience solutioning complex requirementsFamiliarity with distributed architectures & messaging systems (PubSub)Experience leading and coordinating high performant developers as a LeadComfort working with remote teamsComfort working independentlyEducation:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
