Job SummaryPrincipal Accountabilities:Provide ongoing feedback on individual performance through formal and informal evaluations.Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.Coordinate resource requirements for the department.Assist in department budget planning and manage expenses.Communicate daily plans and address production or customer service issues.Highlight material shortages and interface with Expediter/Purchasing on part shortages.Recognize and monitor bottlenecks; report and alert resources concerning downtime.Interface with Test Support/Maintenance on equipment problems.Track time for NPI/Pre-production/re-work.Ensure effective communication with opposite shifts.Update department communication boards.Follow quality indicators and alert if predefined indicators are below target.Serve as the primary contact for situations involving scrap in any process step.Education / Experience:Typically requires an Associate’s Degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.Typically requires 2 years of related experience.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:Awareness of Flex technologies/techniques.Demonstrates functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process improvement.High level of competency related to function; advanced technical skills.Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret moderately complex instructions.Proficient in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.Capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:[Insert any required certifications or licenses]Decision Making / Discretion:Moderate impact; may influence multiple programs or areas.Can perform analyses/work using independent judgment; decisions affect the team.Supervision / Leadership:Normally receives little instruction on daily work; general instructions on new assignments.Work Environment:Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.Occasional exposure to repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.May require overtime and 2nd or 3rd shift assignments as needed.Noise level is usually moderate.Physical Demands:Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.Frequently required to handle small components.Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.Must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
