Lead Accountant
Eaton **Casablanca** is currently looking for a **Lead Accountant** . The primary purpose is to provide timely support to the Controller in compliance with the corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP. The position manages key financial aspects the **Moroccan entities** , including monthly financial reporting, financial close, account reconciliations preparation, financial analysis, financial policies and procedures. **What you’ll do:** + Lead month-end statutory closings with the finance team to ensure timely compliance; + Prepare financial statements for all Moroccan entities and support audits; + Handle local filings, including tax submissions and payment delays; + Act as the primary contact for auditors and local authorities; + Communicate account variances and aging issues to the Financial Controller, recommending resolutions; + Prepare ongoing monthly and periodic financial reports, supporting the finance team as needed; + Ensure accurate processing of transactions in accounting systems, ensuring regulatory compliance; + Respond to ad hoc financial requests and perform additional analyses as assigned; + Identify and implement best practices to improve financial processes; + Maintain internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and support audit documentation requests. **Qualifications:** + Degree in Accounting / Finance, Master's Degree (professional qualification) is preferred; + 5+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance. **Skills:** + Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment; + Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP desirable; + Fluent in English and French is a must ; knowledge in any other language is seen a plus; + Ability to operate and deliver independently; + Strong interpersonal and communication skills; + Strong technical skills with a high business acumen; + Change management and continuous improvement mindset; + Able to work as part of a team and adhere to company standard processes, practices & policies; + Strongly invested in life-long learning; + Comfortable dealing with ambiguity; + Skilled at building organisational capability. _We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
