Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

What will your responsibilities be?
Appropriate deployment, support and motivation of employees
Technical management and training of new employees in the project phases and the resulting distribution of tasks.
Ensuring the management function through the use of management tools (such as development and feedback discussions, performance appraisals, target agreements, etc.).
Promoting employees and ensuring their performance
Induction of new employees according the projects and tasks. Ensuring the mentor functions.
Execution of capacity planning
Determine and analyzation of process steps, assemblies and outputs
Selection of the appropriate production technologies and methods
Process development and assembly sequencing (process flow chart in Visio) for new programs)
Use industrial engineering methods to determine the process and/or assembly time (MTM)
Manufacture feasibility analysis (DFA/DFM) and Conducting of Process-FMEAs (Scio-System) as well as participation at Design-FMEAs on new products
Perform cost analysis of product and process alternatives (investments and assembly time)
Write process specifications and make recommendations regarding ergonomic improvements
Write specifications for manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for equipment procurement
Work with SD-Teams to complete product launches & execute Product and Process industrialization together with the SD-Team at dedicated plants
Monitor program specific equipment through the build phase at the supplier and production start-up (industrialization at dedicated plant
Improvement strategies: Participate and/or lead activities for manufacturing footprint analysis, continuous improvement of new and/or ongoing manufacturing process and lean manufacturing implementation)
Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?
5 years minimum experience as a Advanced Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer, OEM or Tier One automotive seating or metals work experience, High volume automotive manufacturing engineering work experience
Metal Processes and Equipment knowledge (Stamping / Pressing / Joining Technologies like Laser-, ARC Welding & Assembling)
Experience in Process & Equipment selection & procurement
Experience in Product industrialization / -execution
Experience and knowledge in Production Systems (TPS), Lean manufacturing and Time Studies (MTM)
Experience and knowledge in GD&T
Experience and knowledge in FMEA and Control Plan (I-, S-,C Characteristics)
Statistical knowledge (SPC, MSA, Capability Studies)
