Strategic Responsibilities:Lead the technical vision and architecture for AI-powered solutionsDrive technology strategy and roadmap for Generative AI initiativesEstablish technical standards and best practices for AI engineeringContribute to architectural decisions for complex AI implementationsGuide the integration of emerging technologies into existing systemsLead solution design reviews and technical governance
Technical Leadership Responsibilities:Provide architectural oversight for full-stack AI applicationsGuide the implementation of cloud-native architectures on AWSEstablish standards for LLM integration using AWS BedrockOversee the development of AI pipelines using LangchainDirect the implementation of security and compliance measuresLead technical debt reduction initiativesMentor and guide senior developers and engineers
Practice Development responsibilities:Establish and maintain technical standards and documentationCreate architectural blueprints and reference implementationsContribute to technical strategy and innovation initiativesLead technical discovery and proof-of-concept projects
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 12+ years of software development experience5+ years in technical leadership rolesDeep expertise in cloud architecture, preferably AWSStrong background in: Modern AI/ML technologies and frameworksCloud-native application developmentDistributed systems and microservicesSecurity architecture and best practicesTechnical Expertise Required:Cloud & Infrastructure:Expert knowledge of AWS services, especially: EKS and Kubernetes orchestrationContainer services and microservicesRDS and database optimizationIAM and security servicesCloud cost optimizationAI/ML Technologies:Deep understanding of: LLM architectures and implementationsAWS Bedrock and similar AI servicesLangchain and LLM frameworksVector databases and embeddingsML deployment patternsDevelopment & Architecture:Expertise in: Full-stack development (React, FastAPI)Python ecosystem for AI/MLRESTful API designAuthentication systems (OKTA)Database design and optimizationCI/CD and DevOps practicesNice to have skillsAdvanced degree in Computer Science or related fieldCloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.)Experience with AI research and implementation

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,400 - $209,000
