National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst, Emergency Planning for Massachusetts This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations
Job PurposeThe Lead Analyst Position will focus on Gas related strategic and tactical analysis to maximize efficiencies while delivering finished projects that help improve emergency preparedness and response. Although the chosen candidate will focus on Gas Emergency Planning analytic projects, it is expected that the candidate will also collaborate across all Emergency Planning teams as well as other stakeholders across the entire business. This role will provide analytical support to ensure program and project commitments are developed, enhanced and/or performed as required. This individual will need to understand key business drivers that impact business performance, including regulatory issues, operational aspects, emergency preparedness and response, customer experience, training and exercise, storm response, compliance, risk, and other topics.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of Analyst, Utility, or Emergency Planning/Management experience. Leadership or management experience in emergency management, analysis, or utility experience preferred. . Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills. Proven research capabilities, critical thinking and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of data and ability to cogently present results to all levels. Understands the theory behind emergency management policies and processes and the ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and deliver presentations that effectively communicates the interpretation of complex data analysis to all levels of the organization. Experience with compliance, risk and other data sets preferred. Incident Command System experience and certifications preferred. Analytic or intelligence work within the U.S. military and/or federal or state government, or corporate entity a plus. Utility emergency response experience a plus. Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed, and in response to emergencies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs required. Valid US driver’s license required with driving record that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver Policy. This is a hybrid role based in MA with occasional travel throughout Massachusetts, New York and other locations. More Information
Salary - $130,000 - $153,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
