Lead Analyst, Finance/Accounting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare Profit and Loss analysis, including analysis of actual variances to forecasts. Assist with division level P&L responsibilities.

- Review Earned/Unbilled Reconciliations for accuracy and completeness; work with finance staff to make necessary corrections.

- Review monthly project billing submissions for adequate supporting documentation and proper approvals.

- Track outstanding Accounts Receivable reports for management review.

- Prepare any quarterly revenue adjustments required to correct revenue for impact of billed indirect rates exceeding expected actual rates.

- In conjunction with Financial Analyst, track costs, billing/invoice adjustments, contract-to-date expenditures for sub-contractors and temporary labor.

- Prepare Contract Information Form (CIF) for review by management.

- Oversee/review monthly accruals.

- Responsible for ad hoc reporting requests.

- Review of supporting documentation that accompanies invoice package.

- Prepare or assist in preparation of pricing and other cost estimates, including those related to contract amendments/task orders as needed.

- Participate in internal and external audits and maintain reports and data related to and necessary for audits.

- Mentor and train junior financial analysts.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Performs all indirect finance functions in accordance with company policy and manuals.- Manages indirect pool structures and various allocation methodologies.- Directly responsible for reporting and forecasting of all Federal G&A departments, Non-SCA and SCA fringe, various facility and employee support service centers, sector overhead.- Preparation of various inputs to the quarterly indirect rate true-up adjustments for cost reimbursable programs.- Develops and manages reporting for senior leadership utilizing Costpoint, Cognos reports, Excel, and other sources.- Prepares and/or reviews financial forecasts and budgets with senior leadership.- Coordinates with senior leadership to develop operational analysis and modeling.- Act as a liaison between Finance and Operations - Works closely to track performance and provides timely variance and Risk & Opportunity analysis.- Performs monthly reconciliation on accrued expenses to ensure completeness of reporting.- Prepares and/or monitors vendor & expense report transaction processing to ensure expenses are coded correctly. - Review and ensure system accuracy.- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting for financial and business planning.- Prepares routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis using Maximus proprietary tools, Enterprise solutions, and Excel.- Responsible for identifying and resolving issues, problems, and concerns.- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures.- Develop, administer, and implement process improvements in financial analysis, annual operating plan development and forecasting, as well as consolidating, analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on all financial matters.- Provide financial leadership and support.- Interacts with different levels of internal customers.- Ensures the confidentiality and security of all corporate information. - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in related field.

- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.

-Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.  Master’s Degree or CPA preferred.- Knowledge of FAR, CAS, federal audits, allowable/unallowable costs.- Knowledge of indirect pool structures and various allocation methodologies - Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Excel and Word skills)- Familiarity with Deltek, Cognos, Costpoint or TM1.- Demonstrated hands-on work experience and knowledge to forecast, budget, report, analyze data and ability to enhance ongoing financial processes while working well with others.- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present to executive management.- Ability to coach, develop and mentor team members.
