Your Opportunity as the Lead Analyst, Plant Finance Services
Become a key member of our plant finance team support our Pet brands manufacturing facilities. Leverage your accounting and reporting skills to help guide our operations budget, ensuring key performance metrics are met across the facilities. Lead financial analysis to support decision making for plant leadership and our broader plant financial services team.
Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: 30% in office expectation (every Tuesday and every other Thursday)
In this role you will:
Provide finance support for the Buffalo, NY and Decatur, AL plants where dry pet food and treats are manufactured
Prepare monthly journal entries and support financial close
Assist in the forecasting process including Day 2 and reforecast
Analyze and reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts
Review/analyze monthly manufacturing variances
Review/analyze monthly cost center variances
Provide KPI analysis and lead monthly financial reviews
Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the annual budget with plant manager
Participate in annual manufacturing standard reviews for assigned location
Participate in plant inventories and cycle counts as needed
Work with team members to develop new product costing in accordance with costing standards
Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies for assigned responsibilities
Maintain and document monthly controls for internal audits
Support external audits on quarterly and annual basis
Drive key priorities and initiatives, assist with savings tracking
Identify areas of improvements and standardization
Develop plant analytics and visualizations to add value to manufacturing decisions
Travel to Pet manufacturing sites annually for inventory and/or ideation sessions

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
4+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Proven strengths in accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to travel domestically up to 15% annually
