Lead Analyst - Finance

**What you’ll do:**
Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Lead Operations Financial Analyst supporting the rapidly growing demand for its electrical products in Arecibo, PR. This position reports directly to the Plant Finance Manager and supports the PCD division with Product Cost, Inventory Control & Management, Supplier Cost Analysis, FP&A and operations finance initiatives. This role is a financial professional who specializes in analyzing financial data and providing insights related to the operations of the site. The lead financial analyst will work closely with both the finance and plant operations teams to support decision-making and optimize financial performance within the operational functions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail oriented and can effectively manage multiple projects/priorities, and demonstrates the drive and people capability to deliver results within a growing and profitable business.
Key responsibilities of the Lead Financial Analyst include:
• Cost Accounting: Lead product costing process, analyze and interpret financial data related to the costs incurred by a company during its operations with the primary objective to provide valuable insights to management, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding cost efficiency, pricing strategies, and overall financial performance
• Inventory and material variances: Responsible for driving inventory accuracy and material usage variances through the implementation of robust processes and reporting in collaboration with supply chain, quality and operations.
• Financial Analysis and Performance Reporting: prepare regular financial reports and performance updates for the operations team and management, highlighting key financial metrics and variances to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate for each plant functions to develop action plans, strategies and initiatives needed to achieve the expected targets
• Operations Finance: Partner with plant finance managers and division leadership to achieve financial results through financial analysis, SCM variances/commodities, costing and productivity.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with operations teams to identify inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities that can lead to improved results.
• Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to support operational decision-making, such as evaluating capital deployment opportunities or new projects.
• Supporting initiatives (including CAPEX- and WORKING CAPITAL) and influence changes: evaluate proposals for productivity improvements and growth in areas such as operational excellence, continuous improvement, quality, and supply chain management
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks within the operations and support mitigation strategies.
• Inventory Management: Lead Inventory Control and Management activities and support initiatives to maximize operational profitability while maximizing cash
• Forecasting: Support the main financial processes for the site and the Power Components Division
• Financial Modeling: Create financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operational performance.
• Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the operations team to develop action plans, strategies, and initiatives based on financial insights. Drive and monitor the implementation of the plans
• Finance Transformation: Support the finance and plant leadership teams through finance transformation initiatives.

**Qualifications:**
**Education level required**
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
**Years and area of experience required**
+ Minimum five (5) yeas of experience in varied finance, accounting, and FP&A experience. Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

**Technical knowledge**
+ Strong financial acumen and business partnering skills
+ Advanced English level (business proficient is a must)
**Soft skills**
• Ability to understand and communicate financial concepts to non-financial professionals
• Detail-oriented with effective organization and time management skills
