About The Role:
Lead Analyst -Investment Performance Analysis will have a deep understanding of performance calculations and expertise in the asset management industry allowing them to lead solution implementation projects.
Role Summary
Analyzes and interprets investment-related data to help inform investment management’s decision making process and support operational capabilities to deliver performance services for new clients and for complex products and/or securities. Serves as a subject matter expert on performance, benchmark, attribution, and statistical data, acting as a resource to their immediate team and the firm as a whole.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes a wide variety of investment and performance and attribution tools and develops custom solutions for complex projects. Demonstrates mastery of analytical methods and tools by responding to complex ad hoc analytical and reporting requests on a daily basis from investment management and global client reporting teams in order to improve reporting processes and technologies. Independently leads complex projects and/or enhancements to existing processes, including oversight and execution of development, testing, implementation, post-implementation support, and adoption within the organization.Develops and promotes new applications and/or capabilities for systems and tools to advance analytical concepts for the benefit of outputs and services to clients and resolve business issues related to performance. Develops and leads testing of new or existing performance systems.Proactively follows industry trends and engages with business partners to anticipate new data and business requirements. Understands and works to eliminate source data gaps, and efficiently designs and implements new performance, benchmark, and statistical calculations in line with established best practices.Leverages specialized expertise and acts as an escalation point for complex or time-sensitive issues or questions affecting the systems or business process discipline. Ensures a timely resolution with minimal impact to the business.Responsible for using sound business judgment, technical knowledge, strong execution, excellent client service, and project management experience in order to navigate institutional business lines, exercising influence and persuasion where appropriate. Works with a cross-functional team, including technology, institutional business line, and management leaders and/or external vendors in order to successfully execute projects.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND8+ years of total relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Working towards completion or have completed CIPM, CFA or other relatable professional designation.
Previous work experience in the asset management industry
Proven project management experience including familiarity with the Lean/Agile development framework.
Strong relationship management skills
Deadline driven and detail oriented.
Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
Experience launching complex products to market.
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$121,000.00 - $207,000.00 for the location of: California, New York$106,500.00 - $182,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$97,000.00 - $166,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
