Job Description:
+ Provide technical support to customers and field personnel in any one of these areas: Schematic capture, Layout, physical verification and sign-off.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customer technical issue
+ Run customer test cases to verify problems, create workarounds, when possible, test and deliver R&D fixes.
+ Close collaboration with R&D on issues using established protocols.
+ Author application notes and help provide feedback on documentation
+ Use scripting languages like TCL and Python for flow development, automation and enhancing design methodologies
+ Mentor junior-level application engineers and provide guidance on technical matters. Assume technical leadership roles in small teams as needed.
Requirements:
+ Complete bachelor’s in computer science, computer Engineering or related areas.
+ Exposure to Schematic capture, Layout, and Physical verification flows ( i.e.. DRC, LVS & FILL) or to Parasitic extraction flows desired.
+ Ability to provide hands-on technical support to customer for Physical Signoff.
+ Experience in physical verification rule writing or in parasitic extraction is a plus.
+ In-depth understanding of Semiconductor Manufacturing process is a plus.
+ Familiarity with Cadence Implementation tools (Innovus, Virtuoso, ) or similar industry tools.
+ Programming skills like Linux, Python, TCL or Perl is a plus. Self-motivated and enthusiastically focused on problem solving.
+ Strong technical and written communication skills in English and Portuguese
Nice to have:
+ Knowledge of lisp or SKILL language
