The Lead Application Engineer will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug advanced software systems and application programs for the organization.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Lead functional projects.
Provide training and guidance to application engineers.
Evaluate, research, and recommend software application upgrades, patches, and new functionalities.
Assist management in the design and implementation of new applications, including consulting with functional architects on application design.
Work with stakeholders to perform application functionality gap analyses and feasibility studies for application enhancements.
Develop and document complex and in-depth technical design specifications to meet business needs identified through application requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects.
Delegate tasks to application engineers and provide training and guidance on the design and development of software enhancements.
Lead the development of test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Analyze applications for compliance with security protocols and audit controls.
Review and resolve escalated incidence management activities.
 Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years of work experience in application engineering or similar position.
Stated experience must include work with software architecture, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering and software build and deployment in an Enterprise IT ecosystem utilizing agile methodologies.
Must also have one year of experience in a lead or mentorship role.
May telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
