The role is responsible for leading a small team for the development and daily operation of the automation systems on the Chassis Dynamometers in at the JLR Whitley Engineering Centre. It is a critical role to ensure JLR product is emissions compliant for ICE, BEV, PHEV and MHEV vehicles. As well as Compliance, support for Product Development is also key
The role manages the automation systems for 7 4 Wheel Drive Chassis Dynamometers running AVL iGEM capable of supporting full Global certification requirements for ICE (gasoline and diesel) and EV applications. It is responsible for supporting:
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Accountable for activities to ensure timely delivery of appropriate test systems configurations to meet test requirements Responsible for daily test systems issues resolution and management Accountable for managing the team to ensure specific targets for quality, cost and time are met in the test fields Responsible for delivery of training and support to team members (Hourly & Staff) Responsible for development of formal processes and workflow to support effective and robust operation Liaise with other teams to ensure test systems meet functional requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Demonstrable experience of working in a power train test environment Strong Demonstrable analytical skills and problem-solving techniques Experience in 8D Processes or similar Strong software skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
