Lead Availability Capacity Analyst

Position Purpose: Leads the team that ensures the availability of IT services and that IT infrastructure meets both current and future agreed performance requirements and service levels in a cost-effective and timely manner. Establishes and maintains a capacity and availability management strategy, provides and allocates resources appropriately, and monitors, analyzes, understands, and reports on current and future demand for services. Responsible for leading and presenting projects and processes.

Works with monitoring tools to ensure capacity and availability needs are met; leverages the analysis from these tools to make accurate judgments on capacity requirements and makes appropriate recommendationsMonitors IT availability levels, compares actual levels against targets, and addresses shortfallsInterprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques in order to provide data-driven recommendationsReviews and submits weekly, monthly & ad-hoc reporting on capacity and availability related incidentsAddresses performance-related issues from the standpoint of capacity and availabilityAssesses the availability impact of new change requestsEnsures the successful, and timely resolution or initiation of resolution to detected capacity and availability issues, including notification and prioritization of high impact issuesOversees the capacity & availability plan for continuous improvements in capacity, availability, and performance management processesPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

One or more of the following skills are desired.

Experience with ITIL capacity and availability management; capacity and availability monitoring with knowledge in diagnosing problems to improve the availability of IT services; performing analysis, reporting and presentation of capacity/availability related information to be used by end-users and technical groupsExperience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) FoundationsExperience with TrueSight or Helix highly preferredSplunk query language experience preferredFinOps or Cloud optimization experience preferred

Pay Range: $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
