THE JOB:

As the Lead Barista at Starbucks, you will oversee the upkeep of the dining area and supervise other Baristas (Fountain Workers).  Additionally, you be responsible for the opening and closing duties in adherence to Starbucks’ procedures.  You will play a key role in shaping the guest experience through your warm service and attention to their individual needs. With your welcoming demeanor, you'll create WOW moments, ensuring that every guest leaves with unforgettable memories, making their stay truly remarkable.

THE STARTING RATE:  $16.5926 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Lead, coach, and train the team during shiftsProficient in selling techniques and service delivery for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and menu items. Escalate to management if necessaryNotify supervisor or Security of any unusual events, missing items, or alleged theftTake orders, serve food and drinks efficiently, and garnish as requiredPack orders according to guest preferences with necessary condimentsPerform opening and closing duties as assignedUnload and stock warehouse orders, maintaining organization and replenishing suppliesEnsure cleanliness and sanitation in both front and back of house areasClear tables, sweep, and maintain dining area cleanliness without disrupting guests' comfortSet par levels for daily orders and complete order sheets accordingly

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalentMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

One (1) year of previous Starbucks experience as a fountain worker, barista or similar roleOne (1) year of experience working in a coffee shopOne (1) year cash handling experienceKnowledge of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipmentKnowledge of standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machinesLooks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiencesDetail oriented and can multi-task
