THE JOB:

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you’ll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.

THE STARTING RATE: $20.7781

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee shifts across multiple locations, including two Starbucks and the deli, ensuring smooth operations.Deploy baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system.Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers.Pull revenue reports at the start and end of shifts and ensure accurate input.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Must be at least 18 years of age or olderSupervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a coffee shop or fast-paced F&B setting. Experience as a “key holder” or similar role is a plus.Strong organizational skills, ability to manage high-volume operations, and adept at handling guest interactions and complaints professionally.Dependable, proactive, and adaptable with excellent communication skills. Able to navigate strong team dynamics and motivate staff.
