THE JOB:

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you will be responsible for overseeing the barista team, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area, and ensuring smooth service. With your warm smile and attentive service, you'll set the stage for a memorable guest experience. By understanding each customer's unique needs, you'll create WOW moments that leave a lasting impression long after their visit.

STARTING RATE: $19.744 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Shift Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach, and train a shift of 3-12 team members to ensure smooth daily operations and promote staff development.

Sales and Service Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in selling techniques and service for non-alcoholic beverages, as well as menu items, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Guest Complaint Resolution: Resolve guest complaints within the scope of your authority; escalate issues to management or Security as needed and report any unusual events or circumstances.

Order Placement and Delivery: Take, place, and serve food and drink orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely service to guests.

Order Preparation and Packaging: Pack and prepare guest orders according to their preferences, including all necessary condiments and accompaniments.

Opening and Closing Duties: Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned based on the shift schedule, ensuring readiness and cleanliness of the workspace.

Warehouse Stocking and Replenishment: Unload warehouse deliveries, stock storage areas, and ensure supplies and machines are replenished as needed, maintaining organization.

Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of both front and back-of-house areas, ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting without disrupting guests.

Inventory Management and Ordering: Establish daily par levels for inventory, manage stock, and complete daily order sheets to ensure adequate supply levels.

Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Barista Certification: Hold a valid Barista Certification, demonstrating expertise in coffee preparation and adherence to beverage standards.

Experience at Starbucks: Have 6+ months of experience working at a Starbucks location, with a strong understanding of company protocols and operational flow.

Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Leadership Abilities: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, capable of training and guiding a team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Passion for Guest Experience: Show a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, with a focus on attention to detail and service quality.
