Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Assists in the development and implementation of therapeutic programming for the behavioral health patients. The position will assist with the psychiatric and medical needs of all patients admitted to Behavioral Health Services. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered. **What you will do** + Demonstrates effective communication skills to create a positive work environment. + Provides leadership and contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues and others. + Delegates, supervises and evaluates care given by fellow BHT’s while retaining accountability for the quality of care given to the patients. + Delegates facilitating programming, oversees the management of patient care, including, but not limited to: vital signs, collection of specimens, and other general nursing care procedures. + Assists with staff on the job training and orientation. + Works with individual patients in a 1 to 1 setting or in a group setting that is consistent with the nursing care needs of the patient and the inter-disciplinary treatment plan. + Makes recommendations and implements programming on inpatient units. This may include medical cares, therapy groups, individual or family programming. + Assists other staff to monitor patients by accompanying them to therapies and diagnostic procedures. Assists with patient and family education related to behavioral health topics. + Works with leaders to coordinate therapeutic programming for patient units. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
