POSITION SUMMARY:
Person in this position will be responsible for the organizing, planning, and delivering onsite group education sessions for parents and children in various life skills areas following evidence-based curricula for the Celebrating Families Program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Participate in community outreach events to encourage active participation and engagement from the community.
· Responsible for organizing, planning, and delivering onsite group or individual education sessions for parents and children in various life skills areas following evidence-based curricula for the Celebrating Families Program.
· Provide intake and program orientation for family enrollment.
· Maintenance of individual client files in accordance with agency policies and procedures, including documentation of educational activities as well as all other pertinent documentation and ensure files are securely stored.
· Enter all individual client data daily into the WestCare Clinical Data System (CDS)
· Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion.
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Work with team to assess each family’s need for educational services, including but not limited to, substance use prevention and healthy living skills.
· Facilitate a positive learning environment.
· Provide input at case staffing team meetings.
· Evaluate the progress of the participants assigned to their groups.
· Objectively observe participant’s behavior alone and their interactions with other parents, children, and peers.
· Identifying and coaching team members on Celebrating Families curriculum
· Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
