This full-day program aims to ensure a seamless transition between pre-school special education classrooms and the clinic setting, promoting continuous skill development. Key Responsibilities: + Assessment and Individualized Treatment Planning + Initial Assessment:Conduct comprehensive assessments using tools such as the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program). + Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP):Develop customized plans for each child based on assessment results, addressing specific needs, goals, and strengths. Review and update these plans quarterly. + Behavioral Interventions + Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA):Implement evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT). + Positive Behavior Support (PBS):Utilize proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors, incorporating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs). + Skill Acquisition Programs + Communication Skills:Enhance verbal and non-verbal communication using techniques like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices through a verbal behavior model. + Social Skills Training:Facilitate structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories to foster interaction and social understanding. + Adaptive Skills:Provide training in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence. + Data Collection and Progress Monitoring + Real-Time Data Collection:Continuously collect data on target behaviors and skills using digital tools and software for efficient tracking. + Regular Progress Reviews:Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss progress, update ITPs, and adjust interventions as needed. + Completion of Daily Clinical Notes:Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services. + Family Involvement and Training + Parent Training Programs:Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions to empower parents with ABA techniques and strategies. + Home-Based Support:Extend clinic programs into the home environment through regular consultation and support. + Collaborative Approach + Interdisciplinary Team:Coordinate with BCBAs, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and special education teachers. + Integrated Services:Ensure seamless collaboration with early intervention programs to maintain consistency across settings. + Supervision and Training + BHT Supervision:Provide supervision and training to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring they effectively implement ITPs and utilize ABA techniques. + Service Provision + Service Delivery:Provide the specified amount of services as detailed in each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP). Qualifications: + Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field. + Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA). + Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for young children with developmental and behavioral challenges. + Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, including DTT, NET, and PRT. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams. + Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools. The BHT will work one-on-one with students aged 3-5, implementing individualized instructional and behavioral strategies. This role is crucial in supporting the direct implementation of each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and ensuring their progress and development.
