Why does this role exist?
This role exists to lead full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financials as the company scales its diversified portfolio. The Lead Bookkeeper will standardize processes, drive month-end close discipline, and produce reliable reporting that informs decision-making and cash flow management. They will also supervise a team of bookkeepers, strengthen controls, and support audits, tax, and year-end requirements.
The Impact you’ll makeFull-Cycle Accounting and GL Control\nMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities\nManage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments\nPerform timely bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management\nExecute a disciplined month/quarter/year-end close\nAP/AR Oversight\nOversee end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable\nMonitor aging, drive collections and payment runs, and resolve discrepancies\nEnhance vendor and customer management processes for accuracy and timeliness\nPayroll and Compliance\nProcess four payrolls in compliance with tax regulations and company policies\nCoordinate payroll-related filings and ensure on-time, error-free execution\nMaintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information\nFinancial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports\nMonitor budget performance, analyze variances, and assist with forecasting\nSupport cash flow projections and management dashboards\nLeadership, Audit, and Year-End Support\nSupervise and mentor a team of three bookkeepers; allocate workload and review output\nLiaise with auditors, accountants, and regulatory authorities\nAssist with tax packets and preparation of year-end financial statements\nIdentify process improvements and implement best practices\n
