Introduction to role:
The Senior Business Analyst will be performing the role of Business Analyst aligned with projects focused on delivering Serialisation and Traceability capability to AstraZeneca using SAP ATTP and other supporting technologies. The project focuses on supporting the Global Supply Chain function within Operations with a specific focus on Product Security. The Product Security team sets the strategy, standards, and governance to ensure the security of AstraZeneca products are not compromised at any point in the supply chain. The ideal candidate has practical experience within a business analyst position, with repeated practice performing business analysis and design in a variety of complex situations. Projects can range from medium to large scale on business change with a high level of complexity and risk, with a focus on serialisation regulatory compliance and license to operate initiatives. Serialisation and traceability span multiple business areas from packing at manufacturing sites through to distribution to the customer, therefore an understanding of one or more of packing, warehousing and distribution, integration with third parties (Logistics providers and contract manufacturer organisations) and serialisation in general is beneficial. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst is expected to support the business with UAT preparation and coordination with development teams with necessary tools, knowledge, and data so they can perform their task smoothly.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the elicitation and documentation of detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with AstraZeneca's strategic objectives and compliance standards.
- Drive the translation of business needs into functional and technical specifications for the implementation of Serialisation and Traceability capabilities using SAP ATTP and other relevant technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of Serialisation and Traceability solutions within existing business processes and systems.
- Function as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements related to Serialisation and Traceability.
- Share best practices in relevant communities of practice, contributing to internal IT processes and standards for business analysis and design.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a strong focus on Serialisation and Traceability projects.
- Total IT experience of 12 to 14 years and relevant ATTP experience of 5 to 8 years.
- In-depth understanding of SAP ATTP (Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals) and its integration with other enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
- Strong knowledge of SAP SD function modules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Experience in Pharma Industry practices.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience working with other Serialisation and Traceability technologies beyond SAP ATTP, such as blockchain-based solutions or integration with IT service providers.
- ATTP S/4 HANA Implementation experience.
- Previous involvement in global business change in Serialisation and Traceability implementations or similar within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge on ECMS, Jira and Solution Manager.
- Experience in System Owner activities.
- Knowledge in EUFMD, Russia, USA, UAE, Kazakhstan, and China Serialization
