Lead Business Execution Consultant

Cross Border COO is part of Global Front Line Risk Program Execution team within CIB, responsible for maintaining the Cross Border Activities Framework which includes Licensing & Permissibility Matrix, monitoring of client-facing travel and Permanent Establishment risk for Well Fargo businesses.


In this role, you will:

Monitoring Cross Border Travel Review (CIB, CB, GTM) & Permanent Establishment (firmwide) risk related controls for businesses.Design and execute detective controls for monitoring cross border activities (travel, non-travel).Implement an engagement model between the team and control stakeholders to manage control intake, execution, and reporting.Responsible for the development and review of operating model, procedures, guidance, and processes relating to control activities.  Undertake periodic reviews to identify opportunities for enhancements, and drive efficiencies.Collaborate with technology teams to define and implement innovative solutions that streamline cross border governance and risk management.Engage and work with multiple stakeholders - Front Line, LOB aligned COOs & Business Control Management, Compliance, Audit and Corporate Tax for oversight / challenge to the control design and operational effectiveness.Monitor ongoing effectiveness (from design through to execution) of Cross Border COO owned controls, proactively driving continuous improvement to the control environment.Deliver monthly Management Information pack for governance committees and forums, as required.  Identify opportunities to refine and build out the MI suite to ensure information is presented to key stakeholders with appropriate context to support data-led decision making.Develop, review, and enhance key performance indicators for control activities to ensure they continue to accurately reflect control activity and that insights from the metrics are used to drive process improvement.Validate & track action plans, escalate issues as required and document the control artifacts and findings.Lead and develop a team of two junior resources, providing guidance and oversight of day-to-day deliverables.Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiativesDrive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriateReview strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performancePerform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendationsMake decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plansCollaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiativesInfluence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrate positive attitude and readiness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.


Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking industry and/or Risk & Control domains covering Compliance Reporting, Risk Management etc.Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrate positive attitude and readiness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.Bachelor's degree or higher. Relevant certifications will be an advantage.Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and policies across risk types and quantify risk (financial impact to organization, risk exposure levels).


Job Expectations:

Project management, data management, advanced reporting and tracking/analytical skills will be advantage.Experience in advanced excel is a must and reporting tools (Tableau or BI/automation) will be an advantage.General knowledge of industry standards and best practices around Risk & control evaluations, Compliance, and risk management processes.
