Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad. The ideal candidate will manage purchasing orders, maintain stock levels, and ensure effective communication with suppliers. Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Activada, and strong skills in inputting and receiving orders are essential for this role.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize the ERP system to create and place purchase orders based on departmental requests. Ensure all orders are reviewed and approved as necessary.Handle the end-to-end process of purchasing orders, including inputting and receiving goods. Maintain detailed notes and communicate effectively with suppliers.Monitor and maintain stock levels through the ERP system, ensuring timely replenishment of materials such as resin and membranes.Maintain clear and detailed communication with suppliers, documenting all interactions and updates in the ERP system.Work closely with the team to fulfill departmental demands and ensure smooth operations.Essential SkillsProficiency in ERP systems (Activada or similar).Experience with purchasing orders.Strong skills in inputting and receiving orders.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a mid-size company.Familiarity with manufacturing environments or handling small parts.Excellent note-taking skills.1-2 years of purchasing experience for manufacturing.Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service.3-5 years of experience in a similar role.Work Environment
This role is based in a smaller company with a dynamic and collaborative environment in Carlsbad. The work culture emphasizes communication and teamwork, with direct interaction with ownership. The dress code is professional yet flexible, suitable for a GMP environment dealing with small parts. You will work out of an office setting, managing supplies for manufacturing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
