The Opportunity

As a Lead Calibration Technician joining our Carlsbad team, you will play a crucial role in leading and supervising a team of calibration technicians. You are ensuring the calibration accuracy and reliability of GenMark’s equipment.

Ensure timely completion of calibration activities. Assigning, overseeing, and performing the calibration of a wide range of instruments and equipment. Ensuring all calibration activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards. Developing and maintaining calibration procedures and documentation. Reviewing and approving calibration certificates and records. Investigating and resolving discrepancies or non-conformancesProviding training and guidance to calibration technicians. Assist with on-the-job training of lower-level technicians. Demonstrate awareness of applicable safety guidelines and standards.Assisting in monitoring and troubleshooting the Temperature Monitoring System and providing technical support for equipment non-conformances.Equipment validations (IQ/OQ) and documenting all activities following Good Documentation Practice.Maintaining the Kanban system by updating inventory levels, monitoring card movements, and replenishing stock as needed. Conduct regular audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering group with continuous process improvement projects. Lead special projects as requested and perform additional duties as assigned.

Who you are

You bring a High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate degree or technical/trade school in Engineering or Scientific field preferred6-8 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is required.Asset Database Management system, FDA, cGMPs, and/or ISO, CFR-Part 820 knowledge and experience is required

Strong ability to lead a small team of techniciansStrong quality orientation with attention to detail and a desire to deliver service excellence is highly desired. Experience using documents and quality control procedures which include best practicesDemonstrated ability to analyze and solve equipment faults  issues in both mechanical and electronic systems and provide a root cause. Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills. Able to use computer software programs such as Word, and ExcelExperience with automated liquid reagent dispensing systems (Biodot, etc..); with surface modification (plasma, Corona, etc..) and spray coating; with machine vision system (Cognex, Keyence, etc.) is a plus

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is 53,200.00 - 98,800.00 USD. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
