The Lead Associate Underwriter in the Global Captive Practice would be responsible for underwriting, policy issuance, compliance, invoicing, as well as other captive management services, and will work with a diverse client base servicing captive insurance companies. This individual will utilize their underwriting and policy wording expertise to enhance services provided by the WTW captive management team to our clients and their captive insurance companies. We would expect the underwriter to liaise with parent company employees, insurance regulators, and other service providers in a collaborative and professional manner.
Provide underwriting services and support for a portfolio of captive insurance companies managed by the WTW in the United States.
Ensure strong relationships with clients (both internal and external), regulators, captive boards, and service providers.
Senior member of a team of 7 Underwriters with varying degrees of Insurance knowledge. Ideal candidate will be ready to share their knowledge and experience in order to further foster team development.
The position is remote and may involve limited travel.

The Role
Manage the day-to-day delivery of all underwriting activities and services to clients; and be a captive practice underwriting contact for our client companies for their captive underwriting services: Responsible for collaboration with insurance and reinsurance brokers, TPA’s, legal, and clients as required to craft and issue insurance policies. Responsible for understanding and executing insurance arrangements on behalf of clients. Drafting of policy wording, including manuscript policies. Ensure concurrence between captive insurance and reinsurance policies. Underwriting decisions in conjunction with the Client Service Team and the Practice Underwriting resources, as appropriate. Monitoring of exposures and risk transfer pricing within an assigned client portfolio. Responsible for ensuring insurance policies are within parameters set out in the Management Services Agreement and within scope of our management authority. Implement compliance policies adopted by Willis Towers Watson Keep Practice leadership apprised of client relationships and requests/inquiries. Entertain clients & prospects as required and within WTW parameters.The Requirements
