Provides clinical pharmaceutical expertise for the surgical provider teams within the service line. Leads the Surgery Pharmacist team in clinical competency covering the continuum of care including preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative and acute care. The team lead is responsible for identifying and assisting with quality and safety improvement initiatives (medication safety, transitions of care, antimicrobial stewardship, etc).

Provides clinical pharmaceutical care to patients.Oversees daily pharmacy operations and enhances the quality and delivery of care.Serves as the team leader to provide leadership in the delivery of pharmacy services.Supports the oversight issues related to pharmacy services.Engages in professional self-development.Supports educational mission through training of pharmacy residents, students, and pharmacy technician trainees and continuous professional growthEnhances the quality of delivery of care.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: PGY1-required or 3 years of equivalent hospital experience
Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. BLS required.
