Job Overview:
Acts as the first point of contact for physicians and staff when problems with respect to clinical research arise. Initiate the development of research projects emphasizing interaction among medical staff, residents, and different medical specialties. Works with leadership on developing increased opportunities for growth and revenue from outside sponsors. Coordinates staffing issues and has input on performance evaluations. Is the research representative at meetings. Works with leadership to ensure new team members are properly oriented and aware of expectations for their position. Acts as the clinical research nurse for research studies in which TriHealth participates. Acts as a liaison between the Study Sponsors, Study Monitors, Primary Investigators, other physicians, hospital staff, and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to coordinate the efforts necessary to efficiently and effectively run a clinical research study. This includes being an active participant in the selection of studies in which TriHealth participates, developing a process for implementation of the protocol, assist Manager with budget negotiations, participating in the identification of potential subjects, randomizing patients and accurately and thoroughly collecting and reporting data. Educates and coordinates the care of patients who are on research studies.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare
2-3 years experience Healthcare
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Stroke Research Manager to establish priorities consistent with the department, physician champions, and TriHealth goals. Works with Stroke Research Manager on developing increased opportunities for growth and revenue from outside sponsors. Initiate the development of research projects emphasizing interaction among medical staff, residents, and different medical specialties.
Acts as the first point of contact for physicians and staff when problems with respect to cardiac research arise at Bethesda North & Good Samaritan Hospital. Coordinates staffing issues and has input on performance evaluations for the stroke research coordinators. Works with Stroke Research Manager to ensure new team members are properly oriented and aware of expectations for their position.
Acts as the clinical research coordinator for research studies in which TriHealth participates. Acts as a liaison between the Study Sponsors, Study Monitors, Primary Investigators, and other physicians, hospital staff, and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to coordinate the efforts necessary to efficiently and effectively run a clinical research study. Educates and coordinates the care of patients who are on research studies.
