Your impact

We are looking for an expert in site reliability, application support, cloud support, and DevOps to enhance reliability and scalability. You will design and implement high-availability cloud solutions, lead deployments and migrations, and mentor junior engineers. Key responsibilities include implementing SRE practices like error budgeting and SLOs to ensure customer satisfaction.

Act as a point of contact for escalated customer support issues related to reliability, performance, and application supportLead and manage cloud-related projects, ensuring high availability, adherence to SRE principles, and successful application deploymentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design reliable cloud solutions with a customer-centric approachProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers in adopting SRE practices, application support strategies, cloud support procedures, and DevOps methodologiesLead strategic cloud initiatives with a focus on reliability, operational excellence, and customer successPlan and execute application upgrades Lead successful transitions from off-Cloud to CloudBe part of our premier services program as a STESoftware systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.Designs enhancements and updates for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related toolsEffectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.

 

What you need to succeed

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldRelevant experience working on large-scale enterprise systems and working within the Linux operating systemExperience in a DBRE or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role is highly desirableExtensive experience with PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and upgradingExperience with database performance tuning and optimization for both PostgreSQL and MS SQL ServerKnowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and replication techniques (e.g., streaming replication, logical replication, etc.)Experience with database monitoring tools and techniques (e.g., pgAdmin, Prometheus, Grafana, Spotlight, SQL Server Profiler, etc.)Intermediate knowledge of private and public cloud infrastructure platforms (VMware/AWS/GCP)Firsthand experience with the configuration of monitoring an alerting tool such as Zabbix, Everbridge, Pager Duty, Prometheus, and/or GrafanaExperience with automation or CI/CD tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or GitLab
