Responsible for Design and Development of Electric motors Mechanical components for Automotive & general appliances (Household & industrial) applications.
Preparation of Motor 3D – 2D drawings, Motor GA, Motor Sub-assembly models using CATIA tool
Ability to think out of the box and be able to work in cross-functional team. Planning and executing motor design activities, developing design solutions to meet the customer requirements, collaborating with different suppliers, root cause analysis & resolution of issues discovered during validation testing.
Independently handle Mechanical design activities for Electric Motor.
Preparation of product level DFMEA document.
To manage detailed designing concepts e.g. (plan drawings, analysis, BOM preparation, material selection, costing, inspection standards for parts and products, Layout planning).
Should be able to handle technical discussions, finalization of deviation or technical sign off documents, initiation of design phase, finalization of parameters in design phase, development of product sample ‘A’ and ‘B’.
Good Understanding of Motor assembly manufacturing process
Knowledge of GD&T and stack up analysis tools.
To independently handle tasks from RFQ stage till production stage - will be responsible for defining the mechanical packaging & configuration of electric motors.
Able to work as part of integrated global teams.
Collaborate with Cross functional teams for DVP documentation and part testing.
Should be able to execute VA/VE projects for cost optimization, localization.
Knowledge of Indian & Global standards – IS, DIN, ISO etc.
Arranging for tests (mechanical, thermal, photometric) on sample devices, integration of results in the design
Continual editing, interpretation & implementation of relevant technical information
Arranging for designs to be checked in terms of industrial property rights
Strong collaboration with motor simulation engineers and common understanding to interpretate and guide motor simulation results into a motor design
Evaluate motor simulation results versus costs, design and process rules. Document results and guide decisions within project team and in direction of stakeholders
Improve motor design process continuously by implementing innovations and working with lessons learnt.
Skill requirement
To manage detailed designing concepts e.g. (plan drawings, analysis, BOM preparation, material selection, costing, inspection standards for parts and products). Good communication skills to discuss and present the new concepts with respective teams and suggesting steps to further optimize/ improvise the design.
