Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – EDI Developer
In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust EDI solutions using X12 standards in the Retail domain. They will utilize integration platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, Kleinschmidt, and OpenText to streamline EDI processes and optimize workflows. The specialist will also be responsible for managing end-to-end integration cycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, championing successful partner onboarding, optimizing existing EDI processes, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Responsibilities
EDI Developer:
Design and implement robust EDI solutions using X12 standards (e.g., 850, 856, 810) to facilitate seamless data exchange in the Retail domain.
Utilize integration platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, Kleinschmidt, and OpenText to streamline EDI processes and optimize workflows.
Integration Mapping Master:
Manage end-to-end integration cycles, meticulously crafting and troubleshooting X12 maps for data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for seamless EDI integrations.
Partner Champion:
Champion successful onboarding and ongoing collaboration with external partners by understanding their X12 EDI requirements and ensuring compliance.
Provide insightful technical support and guidance on X12 message formats and integration platforms (MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, etc.).
Performance Optimizer:
Monitor and continuously optimize existing EDI processes using best practices and X12 standards to enhance performance and reliability.
Implement effective configurations and customizations within integration platforms (MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, etc.) for enhanced workflow efficiency.
Documentation Dynamo:
Craft and maintain comprehensive documentation for EDI processes, mapping specifications, and integration workflows, with a focus on X12 message formats.
Document configurations and customizations within integration platforms like MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, etc., for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of X12 EDI standards and formats (e.g., 850, 856, 810) and their application in the Retail industry.
Solid experience with integration platforms (MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, Kleinschmidt, OpenText) and their EDI capabilities.
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, or Python for scripting and customization tasks.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex EDI challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to bridge teams and foster successful partnerships.
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience with Retail-specific X12 transactions (e.g., ASN, PO, INVOIC) and relevant industry knowledge.
Familiarity with EDI VANs (Value Added Networks) and their role in EDI communication.
Understanding of ERP systems and their integration with X12 EDI for comprehensive data flow.
Certifications in EDI or related technologies (e.g., CCEDI, CIEDI) demonstrate deeper expertise.
